Its Kickball Time Again! The Southside Little
Miss Kickball League is hoping that you are looking
forward to another exciting and active kickball season.
League registration will be held in our concession stand
at the kickball field, 4200 McArdle on the following
dates:
Saturday January 28, 2012 from 1:00 p.m.
3:00 p.m. Tuesday January 31, 2012 from 6:00 p.m.
8:00 p.m. Thursday February 2, 2012 from 6:00 p.m.
8:00 p.m. Saturday February 4, 2012 from 1:00 p.m.
3:00 p.m.
Bring your friends and schoolmates too.
If a copy of your birth certificate is not already on
file, you MUST bring it with you to registration. We
look forward to seeing you at registration! A late fee
will be added for those registering after the last
registration date. Your participation will help to make

2011 State All-Star Tournament Results
Congratulations to all that participated in the 2011
State All-Star Tournament.
The Southside
Juniors and Seniors both had a great run, but were
eliminated on Saturday evening.
The Southside
Teenagers, defending State Champions, entered Sunday
undefeated. After an 11-inning marathon game
against UHO, they came up one run short. The third place
game began promising with a 2-0 lead in Southside's
favor, but the run for a back to back championship ended
against NWA as our last team was defeated 2-4. The
Teens finished the tournament in Third Place!
Shelby Kelley was selected MVP.
Thank you to all that made this year's tournament a
fantastic one!

2011 LMK Hooks Night
Little Miss Kickball/Hooks Night was April 18, 2011. It was great to see uniforms from all the surrounding leagues! Here are a few pics of this special night.
Special thanks to Adam Nuse and Bryan Mayhood of the CC Hooks organization for making the partnership between LMK and the CC Hooks such a great one!
LMK Scholarship
Little
Miss Kickball International offers the opportunity to
graduating Seniors to apply for several scholarships. These
scholarships are awarded at the All-Star Tournament yearly.
If you would like to apply, please download the application
here. Remember, all scholarship applications are due by
April 15th.

Judy Gallagher Memorial Fund
On
April 21, 2008, The Southside Family suffered the loss of a
great supporter. Judy Gallagher, wife of Meritorious
Board
Member Jim Gallagher, mother to veteran player Amy Gallagher
and aunt to Trey Hopkins was
called home by the Lord. Her impact on our league will not
end with her passing. The family has established the SSLMK -
Judy Gallagher Memorial Fund.
Those interested in contributing to Judy's Memorial Fund can
send donations to 905 Miramar Place, Corpus Christi, TX
78411. Our thoughts and prayers are with Jim, Amy, Trey and
their entire family.

Southside Adult
Kickball Scholarship
Southside Adult Kickball was founded in 2009. It
offers Adult Kickball for Women and COED Play.
Registration is currently underway. The Seaon will
begin in early August. In 2011 Southside Adult
Kickball will offer TWO 12-Game Seasons - Fall I
(Aug-Sept) & Fall II (Oct-Nov). Visit our website at

To date SSAK has
reinvested over $7,900 in scholarships and donations to
Southside LMK.
On June 8, 2011, Southside Adult Kickball awarded scholarships
for the second year to graduating seniors,
Valeria De La Garza, Lorraine Barrera,
Ana-Lisa Cadena, Briana Cantu,
Victoria Villegas and Melissa
Gonzalez (not pictured), pictured here with
League President Jesse Kendall. Each girl
received $400 towards their
college expenses. Congratulations, Ladies and Good
Luck in all your endeavors.

they must be approved by our President, Marianne Mojica,
in advance. Additionally, any fundraiser that
involves prepared food will NOT be approved. If
